Hasn't been much discussion on the Election lately. The main problem is that, while this site is live, it hasn't really been officially launched yet. I plan on kicking out some press releases and such when I am done fully developing the site.

Anyway, I wanted to express my approval of Bush's choice for Dick Cheney as his running mate. In my opinion, he could not have picked a more honest and well-rounded man. Colin Powell would have, of course, been another great choice, but Cheney is as well. Seeing the two of them together in the press conference, I couldn't help but get the idea that I was looking at two adults with experience. And that is what Washington needs. I'm sick and tired of the dishonesty, finger pointing, and overall immorality in Washington. I am not exagerating in saying I think Clinton is the worse President this country has ever had, and no matter how much Gore tries to separate himself from that, he can't. Not only that, but I think Gore is worse than Clinton.

I wasn't suprised to see the liberal media trying to dig up dirt on Cheney. They quickly found out there was none. Not that I know the man, but if all they can come up with is heart problems and an oil connection, we all know they were struggling for something. And, even that was weak. He had heart trouble 12 years ago! He had a bypass and hasn't had trouble since. Second, who care's if he has oil connections! This whole idea of "evil, big oil" is press generated. I would rather have someone in office that was a player in an industry on which this country depends heavily than a person who is a career politician with no ties to the real world.

Its time to put substance in office and not a stupid media image of peace and harmony, which Gore ties to put across ( have you seen his campaign commercials?!).

The liberals are trying to use his voting record against him.
1. He is pro-life (without exception)
2. He voted against the formation of the Dept of Education
3. He has a strong, consistent voting record against gun control
4. He was part of the Reagan-Bush era.

Of course, I see these as some of his strong points

Yes, I know. they are trying to position Cheney toward the far extremist right.

My question is why are they making a big deal out of abortion? Its not like it will ever get voted on in Washington, simply because of the heat it contains.

And, I'm tired of hearing these guys say Cheney is boring, not exciting enough. Is that what we've come to in this country? Instead of wanting someone who will get the job done, we want someone who's good-looking and exciting?! Talk about shallow!

The big deal about abortion, besides being a polarizing issue, is that the next administration may appoint up to 3 Supreme Court Justices. Keep in the mind the last abortion ruling was 5-4. Being able to kill their own babies seems to be quite important to liberal women, and they will say and do anything to keep this ability.

A solid man, well respected, who doesn't change clothes weekly like Bore. He knows who he is, and so do you. That's one thing that people liked about Reagan - what you see is what you get. Plus, he's honest. No wonder the libs dislike him.
