I was just watching a show about polar bears on Animal Planet. The narrator was talking about attacks on people by bears. He said there were like thirty deaths by polar bears world wide last year but there were 300 deaths from dog attacks in the U.S. alone, in the same time. I'm so scared now that my dogs will attack and eat me. Are pet dogs more dangerous than wild polar bears? I guess we should have polar bears for pets instead of dogs. Or is that example just some liberal stinkin' thinkin' tied up in polar bears and global warming? BTW, a male polar bear is stalking a female bear with intentions of eating one of her two cubs right now. Do dogs do that too?

they are both beasts subject to the actions of man. They both have far more reason to fear us then us them...

anyway I suppose there are more dog attacks because there is far more contact between man and dogs and man and polar bears. I'm sure statistically there are more deaths by man and polar bears as linked to contact statistic, in any event if this is some lame reason to imply efforts to save the polar bears because of less ice mass should be halted it is ridiculous. This planet lives in a delicate eco-balance and we as humans quiet often screw with it and in one way or the other global warming or something else this is what is likely to be the eventual death of our species and many other species too... except the coachroaches that is.

Here is a quick and easy way to stop the bear attacks. Stop building in their habitat.

It amazes me everytime someone complains about being attack by animals, whether it be by bears, cougars, mountain lions, etc.

It is really amazing when people complain about shark attacks. Its always the same....I was swimming in the ocean when all of a sudden a shark attacked me. Hey you want to know why that shark attacked you, because you were swimming in its feeding grounds.

Dont get me started on the idiots that get attacked by animals at the zoo. Seems to me that they deserved it one way or another.

Bear attacks - shark attacks.... both are miniscule and insignificant. Many, many more folks were killed or injured traveling to their habitats than were injured after getting there.

Yup...ice ages never happen either. The climate is naturally completely static. The Earths temperature never changes. Those who do think global humans alone cause global warming and cooling theorize that cavemen and their campfires caused the last global warming. Its only when the cavemen died out did we have the last ice age 20,000 years ago.

The amount of CO2 we put in the air can be calculated. It adds up to increased measurable levels of CO2 and the measured increase in temperatures match historical records. What part did you not understand?
