We seem to be propping up the economies of half of countries in the world. If we stopped giving trillions away just think of how much more resources we would have to improve our own economy and our country. It is way past time to let the rest of the nations in the world sink or swim on their own. Very few even appreciate what we do for them, and many resent it. Hell, we give more assistance than anyone else to the cretins in the Middle East who want to kill us for it.

If we stopped giving them aid we would have more money to spend kicking their asses when they get out of line!

Sorry bob :( , much less than half the GDP is spent on defense or even half the federal taxes collected. If you want me to prove it then I will, but you probably don't want me embarrassing you again like I did with the devaluation of the dollar...in which you were unable to defend your statement because it was not true.

If I can rub a little more salt into the wound, more of the federal budget is spent on social spending than on defense.

They want the US to take on the exchange rate risk. Someone needs to tell them "hey, beggars can't be choosers."

The problem they are running into is that they are receiving US dollars and exchanging them for Euros in large quantities. This in turn is lowering the value of the dollar and therefore lowering how much they are netting.

Screw them, they want our dollar, they can have our dollar. Don't make us take the ERR.
