I used too watch Fox News but lately I've been watching more of CNN. To me Fox News is getting to be more into the entertainment type of news like The Today Show. They obsess over celebrities and certain TV shows too much. I just don't see how their ratings stay as high as they do.
The ratings stay high because people watch out of habit or morbid curiosity. Plus, for whatever reason, many people watch the news to actually be entertained as opposed to being informed.
I watch the local news; not FOX or CNN. If I want national news I go to the internet or read the paper.
The only TV news I watch regularly is the local news, and I mostly watch it for the weather forcast. Nat'l & Int'l news I get mostly from the newspaper.
I used to watch O'Reilly, but his schtick is gettinig old. I used to like Hannity, but can't take him anymore either. Shepard Smith's newscast is pretty entertaining, but by the time it's on I've already seen or heard anything that is important. The rest of FOX's shows are as bad as GMA and the other morning tripe. I do watch Beck on CNN-HN sometimes, but usually not a whole show. Can't stand much else on CNN.

NBC is moving toward the left and CNN toward the right.
Paula Zahn is being phased out... suspect because the left is watching Keith Olbermann on MSNBC and the Right Bill O'Rielly on Fox.. all on at the 8pm time slot... They tested Glenn Beck in her time slot all last week...
MSNBC has moved the only conservative on Prime Time to Imus's old slot in the AM (Scarborough) and the president of MSNBC news has taken over his slot although he mostly reports on court cases and celebrity issues. Rita got moved out completly.
The best inpartial info can still be found on C-span, but it takes a certain level of political knowledge and interest that the majority of the public does not hold to be able to navigate through c-span... no talking heads... you just have to take the facts and figure it out for yourself there something many in our country are just too lazy to do.
It will be interesting to see who CNN decides to replace Paula Zahn with...
CNN is becoming a target for the left.... if you want to see evidence of that watch Michael Moore versus Sanjay Gupta tonight on Larry King.. on the Healthcare situation....
I’ll watch C-Span if I know someone will be featured who I want to hear. The issue I have with C-Span is there is normally an awful lot of content to filter through and I don’t normally have the time or patience to do it.

I don't watch television news for the news. I watch it for entertainment if they have something entertaining on. I get my news from Google News because it comes from hundreds of sources. Coming from hundreds of sources you get all the political slants creating an overall broader view of what is happening...as opposed to what you get from the television networks.
In my opinion network television is pretty worthless...they cannot even admit their political biases to start with. It is very naive to think any one network has no bias.
CSpan...forget it...to be blunt...its boring and it takes to much time to get to the root of anything. Anyone who has the time to sit in front of the TV and watch CSpan for hours really has nothing important going on in their lives. Admit it, it is boring to watch one blow hard after the other...and there is nothing intellectual about listening to them. Besides, there is more than politics to the news.
