'Nativity' Booted From Ill. Holiday Fair

By DON BABWIN

CHICAGO (AP) - A public Christmas festival is no place for the Christmas story, the city says. Officials have asked organizers of a downtown Christmas festival, the German Christkindlmarket, to reconsider using a movie studio as a sponsor because it is worried ads for its film "The Nativity Story" might offend non-Christians.

Now c'mon...we are getting too nervous and jerky over something so little.

What's next? a billboard advertises for the same movie is illegal? how about a TV ad (the airwaves are public after all)?

This stuff comes up every season and its just as stupid. Political correctness is just another nail in the coffin of this country, IMO. The sooner people realize that, the better. If people of non-Christian religions are not adult enough to see a nativity scene without freaking out, then we truly have some problems.

i heard a guy yesterday compare Islam to Harry Potter books:

they both have "he who shall not be named" attitudes.
