According to an article in the LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-iran16nov16,0,4625898,full.story?coll=la-home-headlines) the Iranians want the US to stay the course in Iraq. Damn the Democrats are always on the wrong side. Not only do they have Dick Cheney, smoken Joe Lieberman and John McCain telling the Presiden to stay the course, they have the Iranians saying the same thing.

Of course the official Iranian position is that the US should get the hell out of Iraq at the earliest possible opportunity. On the other hand that the Iranians would let the stay the course position be advanced in its official news media at all is sort of like Karl Rove telling Fox News say something nice about the Democrats.

Pretty dubious considering that both Iran and al Qaeda have been celebrating the DNC's recent election victories.

I haven't been to any of the Al Qaeda or Iranian Democratic victory parties. Haven't even heard about them. You must have great sources.

CH, how's it feel to be a pawn of Iran? Might sound dumb, but your reaction is exactly why Iran says crap like that. They monitor our press big time and play us like pawns...while on the other hand people like yourself haven't the slightest clue what is happening in Iran besides what you're told by the US media.

If you had been paying attention the last 4 years you would realize that GWB is Iran's single biggest pawn. George has removed Iran's greatest enemy. He has, for the cost of 3000 American soldiers, given Iran its greatest victory in 1000 years. Once we have left Iraq, one way or the other, as long as the Shia are in charge, the Iranians will have effective control of Iraq's largest oil fields. We will have to thank George and his neo-con asshats who all bought into the con of Ahmed Chalibi (the Iranian spy.) Shit, Chalibi even convinced the neo-cons to debaathify the Iraqi government, insuring there would be no one to keep order.

The whole fucking Iraqi war was unwittingly fought our brave soldiers at the behest of Republican neo-con halfwits for the benefit of Iran.

People who listen to Glenn Beck (the conservative clown who asked the first Muslim congressman if he was one of "our" enemies) are nothing more than the dupes of the duped.

You don't need great sources. Even the bumbeling MSM has the quotes:

What, did you get that from the Daily Show? Because you told me you didn't bother to watch the guy's show. If you actually LISTENED to the guy, you would know how easy it is to spin that exchange with the Congressman. But, of course, you're too damn arrogant.

No, Bush is not a pawn of Iran. What is true is that if we leave, we would leave a power vacuum which would hand a gift to Iran on a silver platter. That is clear. But, beside the point is the fact that Iran issues such statements to our media exactly to get responses like your own. While our people are idiots and don't bother to look at their media (like yourself), they pay very close attention to our media and know exactly how to play the game.

Do I live in a bizzaro world? Just do a cost benefit analysis of the Iraq war. . Thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead. Hundreds of billions sent down a rat hole. Saddam is going to be hung. Iraq is damn near a failed state. American influence in the toilet. The American military tied down and totally unable to protect America's vital interests. The Iraqis lost. The Americans lost. Iran is the big winner. Prove that it isn't.

GWB and the neo-cons have been unwitting stooges for the Iranians. Total incompetence. Only someone who is willfully stupid could miss the fact that the US has been taken for a ride in Iraq. A little pressure here, a little cocktail chatter there, an editorial from some neonitwit like Ken Adelman, Richard Pearle or Charles Kraughhemmer there. A couple of uninformed bone head decisions by Dick Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld there. Of course you will say the neo-cons are all jews and they all seem to do things to favor the Israelis. True enough, but as Lebanon showed the Iraelis can be played for fools by the Iranians.

I am telling you the Iranians are beating our socks off.

What is amusing is you have been sucked into to believing the Iranian President is in charge, and that he is crazy. Fortunately you don't have any foreign policy responsiblities. Unfortunately right now the Republicans don't seem to have anyone smarter than you. You all beleive your own fucking propaganda.

We need to change direction in the Middle East. We also need to hire some professionals diplomats to play the geopolitical game. On paper we should win. The only thing that holds us back is our failure to hire anybody to look at the game from the other guys point of view.

The ideological boobs coming out of the various Mellon funded think tanks just aren't up to the task.

The Iranians are beating us because of our own political correctness and a failure to call a spade a spade. I believe Iran is the Hitler of our times, and I believe they are planning another Holocaust. I think Iraq is similar to France in WW2. How well do you think it would have gone if we invaded France as we did, then decide "Oh, this is too expensive" and pulled out early? Personally, I think we'd all be speaking German right now if that happened.

I agree with one thing...this war is being poorly managed. The PR job by this administration is horrible. They need to quit the political correctness and call a spade a spade. Iran is the real target here. This is fascism all over again, with a hardcore religious aspect to it. And, no, this is not propaganda from anybody in Washington, CH, because quite frankly, they don't have the balls to say it.

I knew Dris from awhile ago. We used to agree on many issues.
What happened to this guy? I could have any ideas...drugs, brainwashing....

I don't think, that Dris has any knowledge in History, History of WWII. Iran as Germany in 1933? Iran planning another Holocaust?

<...>And, no, this is not propaganda from anybody in Washington<...>
Of course is not. It's from Tel Aviv.

I don't remember that crazy President of Iran mention threats to US, just Israel. North Korea has.
Who do you think Dris care more about? US or Israel. What kind of american is he?...If he cares more about some biggest apartheid and racist country in this World? Where non-jews are treated as a POS?

So...I think not CH, but other lunatics do live in bizzaro world.

What ideas did we used to agree on, Gin?

And, I think I understand WW2 better than you, which is why I see the parallels to the current situation and why I see a problem with you being just another anti-Semite in the world.

It's too bad that your memory is too short.......

And, I think I understand WW2 better than you, which is why I see the parallels to the current situation and why I see a problem with you being just another anti-Semite in the world.

I don't quite understand you...
Are you trying to fool yourself or me?

I lived in a country where WWII took place, where people saw 5 bloody years.
My mom was being taken to nazi death camps, she somehow got lucky to flee it. But she lived thru all that nightmare, and she told me something about.
Dris, please give respect to yourself and others. You simply CAN NOT understand WAR. Even 9/11 wasn't even close to what people lived thru.

If this country will go the way it's going now, you might be able to experience it. Not only NYC or other major cities. You can't win against defensless armless countries, afraid of North Korea...maybe you dare to fantasize about taking over in Russia? "Superpower" status is on papers only, who thinks otherwise, please explain me why you think so....

and why I see a problem with you being just another anti-Semite in the world.

Am I anti-semite?

I told some my jewish friends about this kind of internet discussion, and that I was being called an anti-semite. Dris, believe or not, my jewish friends used to laugh at your remarks.
However, I wasn't afraid to tell them that I used to be an anti-semite. They weren't mad at me, because I could explain why were things that way back then, and what different is now.
I don't like anti-semites and anti-semitism. And I'm not proud that I used to be that way. But hey, who doesn't make mistakes? I'm not afraid to admit to make mistakes, no matter at work or in life. I know many people who give you a lot of respect when you admit mistakes you make, instead of covering yourself.

Who does need anti-semitism? I guess, zionists and jewish extremists. If you look how things going in life, it's true. It is said about antisemitism and who needs it in Norman Finkelstein's book "The Holocaust Industry", written by jew who was born in Brooklyn, NYC and who's parents went thru 2 nazi camps.
You know what? I don't blindly believe what I read, from what I read or hear(on the news, etc), I try to compare with things that's going on, to things that has happened in the past, in history. I don't pretty much ask someone's opinion how to think, and what to believe. I can listen to anyone, and to make my own opinions. I wouldn't ask kinda questions: "who's this guy- dris", like someone asked who am I. Just from his question, I get an idea who is HE. I have way different opinion about this guy most of you don't like- katsakung of something like that. What he posts, there are a lot of logic. I know that, because I lived thru 2 different systems, and I know how it's done. I wasn't like kats while living under communist regime, but I had thoughts similar to kats. Back then, people(besides some friends) thought that I'm crazy, like you do think about katsa..., after 1990, everything changed, everything what wasn't normal with me back before 1990, become normal- media, TV.
And I think, if there was a change of political system, katsakung would be very accepted on here... All that is needed, is a change of a system, people in the system. I've experienced that, you haven't ....yet....
And that's why I do understand your views and opinions about that guy. And I somehow respetc that.
Lately, to me it won't happen if I read or hear somethin- THIS IS A THING I SHOULD BELIEVE.

And Dris, while you call me anti-semite, wouldn't think that you're one in real?
Arabs are semites too, like jews, and look all anti-arab(anti-semite) propaganda in US media.
What would you considered to be? Not by means of Media, but by Human being means?

Are you:
-american?...altought you prefer more americans to be sent to die in Iraq, Iran...maybe N. Korea, and who know where after....
-Are you for Humanity? Altought you not sorry about 50,000+ iraqis dead by now after US Invasion...?????

How would you call former US senator D'Amato who made ~ 200,000 from suffering of jews, and who wasn't even close to nazi death camps. While those jews who suffered nazi camps got a few thousand $$.
What do think, it moral? it's not anti-semitic? It's OK?

I think, you have even problems with term "anti-semitism".
Like some don't don't what "anti-american" means to be. It's ok foe american to send other americans to die in some other country without no reasoin is ok, to sit while at work and bullshit about instead or working is ok.
But if someone works his own ass to help other americans live better, but doesn't like some of US policies that he says while afterwork hours, on home/personal PC- anti-american. Where's logic?

Recently, sometimes I feel like I never left former USSR- US Propaganda, Media......Same shit, different county, different people......
But, but it was totally different 15 years ago, when I came here.
Things change fast, a lot won't notice.
