Bush has killed off the Kyoto Agreement!!!! It's about time. Luckily, Clinton was all talk and no action in regards to that treaty. It would have been needlessly ruinuos to the US economy. It would have forced a decrease in emission of carbon dioxide back to 1990 levels.

Personally, I have yet to see any proof of global warming, yet alone that humans have any affect on those trends.

Here's an interesting book that I just finished reading:

http://www.cato.org/pubs/books/climate/climatepdf.html

Written by an economist who believes global warming is occuring. He does a cost-benefit analysis to determine if people will be better off or not. He concludes that most people will be better off with a warmer globe than without.

My thoughts, as I have said before, is that even if there is a warming trend in the world climate, who's to say it is a result of mankind?

Have you ever seen a chart of our climate over the past many many years? This planet has gone through climate changes much more drastic than what we are seeing.

I think global warming is an issue that, regardless of whether there is a glimmer of truth or not, is being used by certain people to gain power. Pure and simple.

disley, i completely agree. There are just to many unanswered questions to go about agreeing to Treaties that would essentially destroy our economy. There are to many lives at stake.

The planet can handle C02. It does when volcanos erupt massive amounts. Algae in the oceans can consume the extra. I agree too.
But do not discount polutions and the balance of the ozone layer. C02 and ozone and polution are seperate issues.
