I don't know if anyone noticed the economic headlines from Monday, and what a huge disconnect there was between reality, and most newspapers, and the hard-left papers like the NY Times.
NY Times headline:
"Early Sales Appear Modest as Holiday Season Begins"
"Retail Analysts Yawn at Early Holiday Sales"
Others:
"Holiday weekend sales beat 2002 totals" - Sarasota Herald
"Retailers post 5.4% weekend sales rise" - Philly Inquirer
"Internet sales brisk over holiday weekend" - Pasadena Star
"Georgia retailers pleased with weekend sales" - Georgia
"No must-have, but retailers in merry mood" - Albany
"Stores report record sales over weekend" - Roanoke
"November retail sales brighten" - Oakland
Yeah, things are so horrible, Mr. NYTimes. That's why you have people getting trampled trying to rush into stores.
