Washington (AP) -- Unbowed by arguments with allies, President George W. Bush will challenge the United Nations with a call to action for money and troops in Iraq and Afghansitan despite lingering differences and a reluctance by many countries to make major contributions.

I really hope that doesn't turn out to completely destroy the UN and Kofi Annan. But if the UN rejects any more proposals from the US too strongely, I'm fearful for what US politics could do to the organizations of the UN and to themselves as well.
