Why do you guys think that these self-important Hollywood types always back the Liberals? Barbara Streisand is the chief bitch, and she would defend Clinton if he killed someone in the Oval Office. Martin Sheen is coming out and saying Bush is a moran, as if he has some importance to his name and we should care what he thinks. the man has an arrest record longer than my arm and a son smoking crack all day, so I wouldn't be talking.

You guys have any idea? These blokes are limosine liberals, so far removed from any real work that they have the luxury to sit there in their mansions and "worry about the little people". Don't they realize that if their poltical philosophies came true that they'd have to give all their money to people like me?

These people think being a Liberal makes them sensitive to everyone else: I think it makes them unfortunate hypocrites.

Unfortunately, the press prints these type of comments. I think it shows poor judgement by Martin Sheen.

I wonder if this will affect the ratings of his series. I have never watched it before, now I know I will never watch it. Possibly, his comments will jeopardize the jobs of the people that are involved with his series.

Peeople like him say those things for shock value, but they think they have a legit point. In reality, it makes them look like morans themselves.

We gotta remember that many of the actors and actresses are selfish, greedy, and unhappy people who just smile for the camera becauase they have to. They are certainly nobody I'd want to be like. I don't know why, but I think many of these people act like Liberals in order to fit into the clique. Those actors who admit to being Republicans are often looked at weird.

No necessarily true. Remember, although the liberal Hollywooders campaigned for the large tax increases Clinton implemented his first year in office-- these Hollywooders (actors, directors, etc.) were also exempt from these same tax increases. A little known truth that amply demonstrates the hypocrisy of the Hollywood liberals.

Prader, how's that? These people are, for the most part, pretty well off, so why wouldn't a tax hike affect them?

Also, the true Liberal believes in redistribution of wealth. If he doesn't, then he's not really Liberal in the sense that it is meant nowdays. Most are for the underdog (which is fine) but at the EXPENSE of those who produce. So, if these actor-assholes are liberal in the true sense (and mean it) then, yes, I think they'd have to believe in giving their money to me, because I'm not rich. Sounds idiotic, but thats why Libs don't fare welll among those who actually are educated in how things work.

The tax exemption had something to do with their self-employment/self-incorporated status. I don't know the specifics, but this was a topic on the talk shows during the period the taxes were increased.

My memory was refreshed the other day when Rush was talking about it.

Liberals want to redistribute wealth, just not their own wealth (doesn't appear like the Clintons are much interested in redistributing their own wealth-- rather, they are grabbing as much as possible). Clearly hypocritical. But this is similar to when the Democrats controlled the House and Senate. Remember when they passed those affirmative action laws, but then made themselves exempt from the same laws? One of the first acts of the Republicans when they gained control of the House and Senate was to repeal these exemptions so that the congress has to follow the same laws as everyone else.

It is not about redistributing of wealth. It is about control of money. Do like Russia did. Take the money away from the masses. Control how it is spent. And of course, keep the rest.
