This weekend marks a new beginning for our country.Let us hope the inauguration of George W. Bush brings a much needed, return of integrity and decency to our government.

Lets hope he has lots of strength. Liberals will be ganging up against him. And we all know how the liberal press will slant his issues.

I wouldn't underestimate him. I think one of the good things he has going for him is the fact that some think he's kinda dumb. They're very wrong.

Drisley: I agree---he's not dumb. Plus he has personality.

Here in England, some of the newspapers are saying just this. They consider him to be smarter than outward appearances show.
If you think about it, he would not have got even as far as being nominated in the first place if he had been stupid.

Good point Stuart, Getting the rumor started that G.W.B. was dumb ,was just a desperate move by the democrats .

An observation. Clinton's actions appear to be equal,if not worse than Richard Nixon, and yet Nixon ended his period as President in disgrace. Any idea why the different treatment?

I think it has a lot to do with moral decay in our society, something that the Clinton administration magnified.

possibly waverider, but i think it's more due to the fact that nixon was republican while clinton was a democrat. clinton simply got better treatment from the press, because he was "their guy." you look at nixon during the watergate scandal; every major newspaper and magazine had a whole division dedicated to digging up stuff on that scandal, while with clinton there was no such investigative divisions in the major media companies. it took matt drudge to break the monica lewinsky scandal open and prove that clinton had commited perjury and obstructed an investigation to cover up the fact that he had lied on the witness stand. if the new york post had devoted the same amount of resources to investigate clinton as it had nixon, clinton would have been booted from office for sure.

Yes, Troysvihl--we're getting good input on this site. We'll keep our fingers crossed. It will probably be invaded by the "others"

i hope your right waiting. it was nice to recognize most of the people posting, so it would be nice if they all came over here too. i'll be checking this board for a few weeks to see if it takes off. if it doesn't it looks like i'm going to have to get to know some new boards. such a hassle.

I would plan on the invasion. I have been re-working this site and plan on re-launching it very soon. I have more mods to make to this forum first, but I hope to have this forum grow over time. Remember, it took awhile for the pcnech forum to grow to where it is now.
BTW, if you would like to help in the promotion, I'd appreciate it. also, this site will be a site for people to post their own content, so if you guys wanted to write for ForumClick on whatever might interest you, gimme a shout.
Later.
