The people who wrote about God, and the Greek gods, and the Roman gods, and ect, wanted to give the reader an idea of what they were speaking of, and the Greeks always beleived that gods were men, just with greater powers. Christ is a man/god, meaning He is both God and Man

I think it is because Man/Men were the only ones that could read and write (in most past cultures) and women were thought of as "thiers" not much more than a trinket or cattle...

I don't believe that God had anything to do with the writings in the bible...I think it is just MANS attempt to control man by using the threat of "God" to do it. People even in this day and age are gullible. Its like a twisted history book. And it worked....;)

Anyways, I think the Old Testement was twisted. I think the New Testement was more or less correct. The Old one wasn't translated correctly. I mean a WOMAN didn't REALLY eat that apple. If she did, why do we men still trust them?!?

Actually the world does revolve around me in my own little area. It hopefully also revolves around the rest of you. Man of course wrote the Bible, and I believe the New Testement was written by a man with Gods intentions in his mind. Or in other words, God was directing his words. The Old Testement is too much like the Talmud.

Depends on what your view of God is.

If you believe in an all-knowing, omnipotent God from whence everything came, then God is neither male nor female: God is all that ever was and ever will be.

If you believe God isn't that, then God can be male, female, Alanis Morissette, whomever.
